The Case of Charles Whitman discusses the life of Charles Whitman and the events leading to his murderous rampage from the university clock tower. Whitman would seem to lead a privileged life as a high-school baseball player, military member, and college student awarded scholarship. Over time, Whitman's life would seem to crumble with his disinterest in church, his parents' divorce, losing his scholarship, even his deteriorating health. No one has an excuse for such actions - but perhaps Whitman would have more of a reason than most others.
The biological causes of Whitman's action would seem to propel his behavior. Still one may assume the victims' families will never forgive Whitman for his actions.
